To kick our blog back off, we are introducing Azarue’s bride, Macie McClure! Macie married the love of her life, Will, in September of 2019.

Macie and Will met when they were only 12 years old at a Casting Crowns concert and she though he was so cute! A couple of years later, at just 14 years old, Macie and her friends were going to a move, but sadly it was sold out. They decided to go to the skating rink instead and guess who was working there? Will! He remembered her from the concert and they connected on Myspace. The rest was history!

In 2018 Macie and Will planned a trip to California to visit some national parks, one of Macie’s favorite things. They went to Yosemite National Park and since it was just the two of them, Will set his phone on a log to “take a picture” in a meadow in front of a beautiful waterfall. Little did she know, he was actually taking a video and Will pulled out a ring and got down on one knee! Can you guess Macie’s answer!?

Before coming to Azarue’s, Macie had been to a couple other shops, but had no luck finding one that felt just right. The day she came to Azarue’s, she brought her mom and Mawmaw with her. They thought she looked beautiful in everything, but when Macie walked out in HER dress, her Mawmaw said “That’s the one!” Just by their reactions, Macie knew she found THE dress she had been searching for.

Macie’s favorite part of the dress was the floral lace details and the train. The train was covered in intricate details. Her dress made her feel so beautiful and elegant and we couldn’t agree more!

Macie chose a beautiful historical plantation house for her wedding. They decided to go with a classic southern style. Everything was very simple and natural and one of Macie’s favorite things was how they incorporated magnolias into the flower arrangements!

Most of Macie’s inspiration came from Pinterest! She originally had no idea what she wanted at all, but once she booked her venue, everything just fell into place. The style of her venue is what inspired her on the look she wanted to go for. LaChute’s style coordinator, Mallory, really helped bring their vision into reality!

If Macie could describe her wedding in one word it would be “Easy-going:, every brides hope for their wedding day!

“Darling I was made for you…”

“I Was Made for You” by Alexander Cardinale was the song Macie and Will chose for their first dance, because it was so fitting for them! It has an upbeat and happy vibe without being to slow! The lyrics were spot-on because they have been in love for almost 10 years before getting married and truly felt like God made them for each other!

Macie’s favorite moment about her wedding was when she finally got to see her man! They didn’t want to do a first look beforehand because she wanted his reaction to her walking down the aisle to be his first time seeing her. She had a blast getting ready with her girls that day, but after what felt like forever, the moment when she finally got to see Will’s face was her absolute favorite!

How would you describe your experience at Azarue’s?

“My experience at Azarue’s was so easy and stress-free! I told Chelsea my price range and just vaguely what I was looking for. She took my vague ideas and brought me such wonderful stuff to try on! I didn’t really ever know what I wanted myself, but she knew exactly what would look best on me and fit my personality!”

What advice would you give to our future brides when dress shopping?

“My advice would be to NOT settle! It’s okay to have to look around to find your perfect dress. On my first shopping day, I almost bought the dress that I liked a lot. My sister came in from out of town to go shopping with me that day and I just really wanted her to be their for my special moment of finding the dress. For some reason, though, I just couldn’t fully convince myself to get that dress that day. Later, I was glad I didn’t settle and get it that day, because I found MY dress later on and it was everything that I had ever dreamed of!”
